04.17.10 Roosevelt University’s Groundbreaking and Birthday Celebration

Green Planet will be the exclusive water sponsor for Roosevelt University’s Groundbreaking Ceremony and 65th Birthday Celebration. The event takes place on April 17 at 10 a.m. on the corner of Wabash and Congress.

More than 125 city officials, community leaders, university faculty and staff and other individuals will attend the ceremony, which includes a speech by Mayor Richard Daley. A celebratory brunch at Roosevelt will follow.

The new building, which will be the second tallest university building in the US, will be a green building, meaning it will be LEED-certified, meeting requirements for sustainability, water efficiency, energy efficiency, eco-friendly materials and indoor environmental air quality. It will have spaces for student services, academic classrooms, and serve as headquarters for the Walter E. Heller College of Business Administration.

Green Planet will be donating water for all attendees at both the groundbreaking and the brunch.
